I can understand the "how" -- I guess, but I cannot understand the "why." Although if I could jump up on the garage-door-opener and survey the entire garage from that height, why not?

Come to think of it, I’m kind of scratching my head on the ‘why’, too.
She’s big on perching. What it is, exactly, she thinks is going to come along … I do not know.
She’s the only one of our four kitties who has ever managed this feat. The thing is, she never looks comfortable up there. It’s like, “Okay, I did it. Now what?” This is the same cat who’s always held a people grudge ever since the night we (okay — I) dropped a massively heavy mirror on her foot. Every once in awhile she’ll lift her paw up pathetically and give me one of those I’ll-never-forget-what-you-humans-have-done-to-me looks.
