Okay, we’re playing the Name-That-Discount-Store again today. And because you all are too good and had no trouble with yesterday’s clues, today is going to be much harder. Both of these photos are from the same store. I took them this past December but you still can get a feeling of the diverse inventory at this national chain that specializes in closeouts. Every time I wander in one of these, I wonder why I don’t shop there more often. With a little digging, you can find fantastic buys on everything from wrapping paper to furniture to weird exotic packaged food that you’ve never heard of.
What do you think? Any guesses?
I’m not near as certain about this one, but I think I’m going to have to go with Big Lots. (Although, my first instinct was dollar general because of the food isle.)
I’m guessing Big Lots too.

K-Mart.
Big Lots! I love that store!
Hmmmm. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Big Lots and I don’t remember them having food…but that’s my guess! Fun game, BTW!
It is Big Lots! I am beginning to realize that I shop way too many closeout stores.
Big Lots it is! You all are too good. And really, the weird food is one of the most fun parts about Big Lots, I think. There are bags and boxes and packages in all sorts of languages from all over the globe — sort of like wandering through a World Market (while checking expiration dates, of course). Big Lots is good for seasonal items, too — great buys on decorations.
I got some expensive pasta there for $1.00. And imported jam without the evil high-fructose corn syrup.
